If you own a pool, you know the struggle. Leaves on the surface. Debris sinking to the bottom. Constant skimming and vacuuming just to keep it looking clean.

We finally invested in a couple of tools for our pool and I honestly wish we had done it when we first bought the Castle Hideaway. My only regret is waiting so long.

The first is a solar‑powered topside skimmer. It floats around the pool collecting leaves, bugs, and debris before they sink. Because it runs on solar power, it works all day and night until it runs out of power and keeps the surface looking clean almost constantly.

The second is a robotic pool vacuum that cleans the floor, climbs the walls, and scrubs the waterline. It basically handles the heavy cleaning automatically. The only thing I’d change is that the vacuum still needs to be taken out and plugged in to charge. If they ever make a solar version of that, I’ll buy it immediately.

Between these two tools, our pool stays cleaner with far less effort. If you have a pool and want to save yourself a lot of time maintaining it, take a look at the ones we use here.
