Most people see Texas A&M as a major university.

It started as a small agricultural college on the Texas prairie.

When the school opened in 1876, its mission was simple: educate Texans in agriculture and mechanical trades.

What’s interesting is that this small college eventually produced military leaders, astronauts, engineers, scientists, and business executives who helped shape the nation.

Today Texas A&M is one of the largest and most influential universities in America.
