rus Spirit Award for the 2003-2004 academic year. Tyan and John were married in 2005 and have been blessed with two beautiful children, Jack and Cate. In college, John’s summer job in residential and multi-family construction laid the foundation for his future as a home builder and business owner. Established in 2007, Magruder Homes continues to be one of the fastest growing home building companies in Bryan / College Station and the Brazos Valley. Its continued growth earned them the prestigious Aggie 100 award in 2013 and 2015. A husband and wife team, Tyan and John offer a unique home building experience. Tyan focuses on each home’s design, while John oversees the construction and administrative activities. Magruder Homes also has some of the most experienced and knowledgeable subcontractors in B/CS working on their job sites, many of which have been with John since the company formed. Magruder Homes believes a strong and positive relationship with customers and trades is the most important factor in growing a successful custom home building company.
