I wanted to take a quick moment to officially announce my partnership with the most incredible real estate brokerage in Texas!

I hear so many people talk about waiting to buy a home until prices drop. While I can understand their original thought process, people are often surprised when I explain why that’s not a great idea.

With every 1% rise (or fall) of interest rates, your buying power is affected by around 10%. So, if you get pre-qualified for a $500,000 loan at 3.5%, that’s essentially the same mortgage payment as a $450,000 loan at 4.5%.

I’d suggest making a home purchase while we still have low interest rates. The higher interest rates go, the less home you’ll be able to afford. Also, if you’re renting, you’ll be paying someone else’s mortgage as rents rise, as opposed to locking in a monthly payment on an appreciating asset (home prices tend to increase in value over time).

HUGE shout-out to for bringing all hostages to safety yesterday.

As most of you saw on national news outlets, a lunatic entered a synagogue and held 4 people hostage, including the Rabbi. Proud to live in a city with such an incredible police force. Great work you guys!
