Another day in the life of a home inspector.
Had a 0800 start time. Lising agent said just knock on the door and they sellers will let you in. Get to the house. Sign on gate say WATCH OUT FOR DOGS OMG these are bull mastiffs in the yard. Hit door bell (ring) Lady comes and says My son and his dog are in the first bedroom on the right. Just go in and wake him up. She tells me that she has been trying to raise him on the phone for 20 minutes. WTF I tell her no way am I entering the house with sleeping children and their dogs. Go to the truck and call the listing agent and inform her that no way in hell am I entering the house. Neighbor comes over and starts pounding on their door. I cancel all the subs and start to pull away. A kid in his speedo underwear barely cracks open the door trying to keep another big ass dog from getting out. I told him that we will reschedule for another day. Told agents and buyer that no way will I enter the house or yard with those dogs. Must weigh 120 each. All I could think about was a friend who got attacked by pit bulls and another who was crippled by a bull mastiff........ and how was your day.
