In observance of Juneteenth, our office will be closed on Friday, June 19th.

🔧 Maintenance Emergencies
If you experience a maintenance emergency while the office is closed, please call 901-853-5000 and follow the prompts to reach our on-call maintenance team.

Tomorrow, we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. While the Emancipation Proclamation was issued on January 1, 1863, many enslaved people in Texas did not learn of their freedom until June 19, 1865, when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas.

A few important Juneteenth facts:
✨ Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States.
✨ The holiday originated right here in Texas.
✨ Juneteenth became a federal holiday in 2021.
✨ It is a day of reflection, education, celebration, and community.

We wish everyone a meaningful and safe Juneteenth as we celebrate freedom, resilience, and progress together.

Did you know sea turtles have been swimming our oceans for more than 100 million years? That's right—they shared the planet with dinosaurs and are still making waves today! 💚

Today, we're celebrating these incredible creatures and encouraging everyone to do their part to help protect our oceans. Simple actions like reducing plastic waste, recycling, and keeping our waterways clean can make a huge difference for sea turtles and other marine life.

So shell-ebrate with us and take a moment to appreciate these turtley awesome ocean travelers! 🐢✨

💙 Fun Fact: Sea turtles can travel thousands of miles during migration and often return to the same beaches where they were born to lay their eggs!
