🎒 Little learners, big beginnings! Preschool & Kindergarten info for 2026–2027

We’re sharing this information from the Collingswood Public Schools and Oaklyn Public School District to help ensure local families are aware of enrollment opportunities for the 2026–2027 school year.

✔ Free, full-day preschool is available for eligible 3- and 4-year-olds.
✔ Kindergarten registration is open for children turning 5 on or before October 1, 2026.

Families interested in preschool should complete the Preschool Lottery Application by March 17 at noon.

Save the Date: Buy Nothing Exchange 🔁

Join us for a community Buy Nothing Exchange: a fun and sustainable way to pass along items you no longer need and discover something new!

Organized by the Borough of Collingswood and the Telfair Collective, this community event will allow residents to share gently used items, reduce waste, and support a culture of reuse. Everything is free and open to everyone!

📣 Apply to Serve on the Collingswood Master Plan Steering Committee

Collingswood is beginning preparations for a new Community Master Plan — anticipated for completion in 2027 — and residents are invited to be part of shaping our town’s future.

To guide the early stages of this important work, the Borough is forming a Master Plan Steering Committee. This committee will help shape priorities and inform the Request for Proposals (RFP) issued to planning consultants next year. In short: this is your opportunity to help ensure the plan reflects Collingswood’s values, goals, and future needs.

We encourage residents with backgrounds in planning, engineering, transportation, architecture, sustainability, affordable housing, and related fields to apply, but all interested community members are welcome. A wide range of perspectives will make this process stronger.

The Steering Committee will include:
• An executive group of 6–8 members
• Subcommittees as needed
• A general membership list that will receive meeting minutes and opportunities to provide feedback

Our goal is a collaborative, community-driven process that is transparent, inclusive, and forward-thinking.
