I’m so excited to say welcome home to my wonderful buyer at 808 Jefferson Cir, Martinsville, VA! ❤️

It was such a pleasure helping her find her new home and I truly enjoyed every minute of working with her. She is one of those people who is simply kind, sweet, and always smiling—the kind of client who makes your job extra special!

Today was one of those days.

The kind of day that makes you wonder if you’re really cut out for this.

Real estate can look glamorous from the outside. Beautiful homes. Sold signs. Happy closing photos. Keys handed over. Celebrations.

But there’s a whole side of this business that never makes it to Facebook.

The phone calls that don’t go the way you hoped. The deals that become complicated. The disappointments you carry home with you. The nights you replay conversations in your head wondering what you could have done differently.

Today, I felt all of it. And if I’m being honest, I cried. (I hate to cry).

Not because I don’t love what I do but because I care. I care about my clients. I care about doing a good job. I care about keeping commitments. I care about finding solutions when there don't seem to be any.

Sometimes being a realtor means being the calm one when everything around you feels anything but calm.

And some days, you just don't have much left in the tank.

Tomorrow, I’ll get up, make the calls, answer the texts, solve the next problem, and keep going.

Because behind every “SOLD” post is a real person who worked through the hard days to get there.

And today was a hard one.

Apparently, we’re all living in different years.

🏡 Sellers think it’s 2021.
💰 Buyers think it’s 2011.
🤷‍♀️ I think I’m still 25.
📉 And the market? The market doesn’t care what any of us think.

The truth is, the real estate market isn’t what it was a few years ago. Buyers have different expectations, sellers have to be realistic, and pricing matters A LOT.

Your home is worth what today’s buyers are willing to pay for it—not what your neighbor got in 2021, not what you need to get out of it, and not what Zillow says after you Googled it at midnight.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling, let’s look at the actual numbers and make a plan based on TODAY’s market.

Because apparently… I’m still 25, but the market definitely isn’t 2021. 😅🏡

Some homes take a little longer to find—and this one was worth the wait. After months of searching, my buyers finally found the place that felt right for the fresh beginning they were looking for.

A quieter pace. Slower living. A little more breathing room. And, of course… a few chickens! 🐔❤️

I’m so excited for them as they begin this next chapter and create new memories in their new home. It was such a privilege to represent them through the journey and help them find the right fit.

🏡✨ JUST CLOSED! ✨

Some real estate transactions are about more than buying and selling a home—they're about passing the torch.

This closing was one of those moments. What started as a transaction ended with the buyers and sellers exchanging hugs, sharing phone numbers, and wishing each other the very best. It was a beautiful reminder that a house can mean so much more than four walls—it holds years of memories, love, and laughter.

I couldn't be happier for my buyers as they begin making this home their own. It's not every day you see two wonderful families connect the way they did, and it made this closing incredibly special.
