$3,000. That's the average costs of repairs that result from home inspections.

That's how it will cost sellers, on average, if they don't do a pre-listing inspection, anyway. Because if you do a pre-listing inspection, you'll have the chance to do some of those repairs yourself. If you don't, the buyer is going to want those same repairs done by a licensed professional when they send their inspection response.

If you're buying or selling this year, you can't afford not to have a home inspection!

These horizontal foundation cracks are caused by water gathering near the foundation and expanding as it freezes, creating pressure against the foundation. Often, its caused by downspouts terminating too close to the house and it can be costly to fix - which is why you really want to know about it before you buy or sell the home.

Two wires in the same breaker (double tapping) is a bad idea. Three isn't better. Part of the issue is that it can cause a loose connection, sparking, and potentially even a fire.
