Miracle on 1st Street:

Watching my buyer as she signed her documents at the closing table was super emotional. My buyer had all the odds against her.

She woke up each morning out the door by 4am to go to work as a cleaner making minimum wage. Unable to speak any English, she braved a world that is currently looking at her and her children as less than. Her apartment literally falling down around her and little to no response from her landlord.

She stumbled across an open house blocks from her apartment in a area that many would stick their nose up to. The listing agent quickly called me and ask if I would meet with the potential buyer. This act of selflessness from the listing agent was the beginning of a miracle on 1st Street.

I provided all the translation between the buyer and the lawyer, the insurance company, the grant programs and all other entities in between.

She had a Spanish Speaking lender & I located a Spanish Speaking Insurance agent.

She did not tell one person in her family, kept secret the entire process for fear of waking up from her dream. This Saturday we will do the grand reveal to her children and I will celebrate my part in breaking generational cycles and opening one door at a time for the underdogs.
