They’re moving to France. FRANCE. 🇫🇷

On Tuesday, we closed on Julie’s home of 30 years, then went straight to La Baguette French Bistro for lunch. Because soon, France will be home!

This story started back in June, when I was hosting an open house less than a block from their home and left an invitation on their door. They decided to walk down and check it out. It was the first open house they had ever attended.

And they told me something at lunch I didn’t know: if I hadn’t left that invitation on their door, they might never have taken the first step toward making this dream real.

I keep thinking about that. You never know which small moment will be the one that changes everything.

After 30 years in one home, they’re brave enough to trade it for a whole new life abroad. I don’t think I’ve ever worked with a couple as in love as these two, and landing in France together feels like the perfect next chapter.

I’m going to miss them. Fun, funky, zombie-movie-loving, always-planning-the-next-trip kind of people. And I’ve already called dibs on the guest room!

Bon voyage, you two. Go live the dream. 🇫🇷

Apparently my bed is now a branch office. 😂

It’s after midnight, the comps and contracts have taken over, and I’ve been burning the midnight oil for about a week now.

Earlier today, I was out in the rain putting up pre-open house signs for a new listing, and now I’m back at it writing an offer for another house.

Between buyers and sellers, I have 10 potential deals actively moving in one direction or another.

So despite everything you may be hearing about the real estate market: people are still buying. People are still selling. Deals are still happening.

It just takes more strategy, more patience, and a lot more attention to the details in this market.

Now, if I could just find the part of my bed that’s still intended for sleeping…

I had such a great conversation with Meredith Fogle on the So You Want to Be a Real Estate Agent podcast!

We talked about rebuilding my real estate business after some life changes, learning to get comfortable on video, and how small mindset shifts can create big changes over time.

One lesson that has stuck with me is this: no one is paying as much attention to our imperfections as we are. Showing up consistently matters far more than waiting for everything to feel perfect.
