It’s been a few months since I joined colleagues in Washington, DC for the FSI Advocacy Summit, but the experience has stuck with me.
Advocacy doesn’t stop when the meetings end. Staying engaged means continuing to show up, stay informed, build relationships, and be part of the conversations affecting the people and communities we serve.
It was also a good reminder that advocacy can take many forms. We all bring different experiences, backgrounds, perspectives, and skills to the table, and we all have opportunities to use them to make a positive difference. Whether that’s engaging with lawmakers, serving in our communities, mentoring others, or simply lending our voice and experience where it can help, there’s value in getting involved.
If you’re looking for a career where your unique background is valued, your voice matters, and your experiences can help make a difference, I’d love to connect.
