Things that surprise people after moving to Colorado Springs 🏔

☀️ Over 300 days of sunshine a year (yes… even in winter)

🏔 The mountains literally feel like they’re in your backyard

🦌 Seeing wildlife like deer, rabbits, and foxes in your neighborhood is completely normal (and yes… occasionally even bears or mountain lions)

🥾 Hiking trails everywhere you go — outdoor access is just part of daily life here

💪 The healthy outdoor lifestyle becomes contagious

🐾 Extremely pet-friendly city (your dog will love it here too)

🌦 Sometimes you experience all four seasons in one day (locals know exactly what I mean 😂)

🚗 Easy drives to vacation spots like Breckenridge, Vail, and other mountain towns

🌲 Nature isn’t something you plan for here… it just becomes part of your everyday life

🤝 There really is a strong sense of community here — you just have to plug in and find your people (gyms, churches, schools, local events, the military community, and small businesses)

🏡 And one of my favorites — you can still find opportunities to become a homeowner here compared to many larger cities
