One of the best motivational speeches Iâve heard about real estate.
âMost men never buy their first property.
Not because they donât want to.
Not because they canât.
But because theyâre paralyzed by fear.
They sit on Zillow. They scroll BiggerPockets. They learn every buzzword... cap rates, NOI, debt service coverage, until theyâre blue in the face.
And then they do nothing.
Let me tell you something.
Real estate isnât complicated.
Itâs the oldest subscription model in history.
You buy a place. People pay you every month to live there. Thatâs it.
The details matter, sure. But not as much as momentum.
When I started, I didnât know a damn thing about underwriting. I grew up in trailer parks. Broke. Lost. No mentors.
My first dream wasnât private jets or skyscrapers.
It was just a brick house with no wheels under it.
I bought a single-family home. Then another. Then a small apartment. Then a neighborhood. Eventually⌠I bought the trailer park I grew up in.
That deal wasnât about money.
It was about taking ownership of my past⌠and proving to myself that I wasnât trapped there anymore.
Hereâs the truth:
You will never âknow enoughâ before you start.
Youâll always feel like youâre missing something. Like one more YouTube video or one more book will finally make it âsafe.â
It wonât.
The only way to learn this game is to play it.
Yes, youâll screw up.
Yes, youâll be scared.
But every landlord I know who owns hundreds of doors started with one.
Start small.
Buy something you can manage.
Rent it out.
Then repeat.
Youâll learn more from owning one property than you ever will from studying a hundred.
And hereâs the kicker,
Fear is costing you more than any mistake ever will.
While you wait⌠others are stacking properties. Building cash flow. Creating freedom for their families.
So hereâs my challenge:
Stop overthinking.
Run the numbers.
Buy one.
Doesnât have to be big. Doesnât have to be perfect.
Just has to be yours.
Youâve got this manâŚ
