Courage isn't a personality type. It isn't a gift some people are born with and the rest aren't.
Courage is a muscle. And like any muscle, it grows when you use it and atrophies when you don't.
That's good news. It means it doesn't matter where you're starting. You're not stuck. You're a person whose courage muscle just hasn't had enough reps yet.

After about age twenty-five, fear stops showing up as a panic. Fear puts on a tie. Fear gets a haircut. Fear starts using phrases like, I'm just being realistic, and, now is not a good time.
Fear learns to sound like wisdom. And that's how it traps most people.

The Manitou Springs Colorado Wine Festival takes over Memorial Park on Saturday, with 30+ Colorado wineries pouring tastings alongside live music and food trucks and Pikes Peak as your backdrop.

Your Switchbacks are home Saturday night at Weidner Field, hosting El Paso Locomotive FC for a 7:00 PM kickoff - grab the family and head out for a great time.

You can read about it. Journal about it. Pray about it. All useful. But none of them by themselves will shrink the fear for long.

The only thing that actually shrinks fear is action. Even tiny action. Especially tiny action.

The dreamer looked at the first step, felt the fear, and walked away. They told themselves they'd come back to it later. Later turned into never.

Vintage Market Days ("Life's a Party") -- This upscale vintage market takes over the Norris Penrose Event Center all three days with original art, antiques, jewelry, and handmade goods. One of the best markets in the region.

Kane Brown with Randall King (Sunday, Broadmoor World Arena) -- Country fans, this is the one. The Navy Federal Jams concert is all ages, and active military and veterans can get free tickets.
