I am originally from Georgia, and bounced between trailer parks, government housing, and occasionally living out of my mom’s car until we settled in a double-wide in Griffin, GA. I recognized very early the importance of an education after watching my mom struggle because of the limitations of her 8th grade education. Through grit and perseverance, I applied myself academically and became the first in my family to graduate high school, and then college. I commissioned as an Army Signal Officer after graduating from the University of Georgia, where I also met my husband. Thanks to our combined military careers, we have lived in three different countries, throughout the US, visited 35 countries, and all of that with three kiddos in tow. We decided to settle in Colorado Springs to retain that military connection, and have enjoyed becoming a part of this wonderful community. Thanks to all those moves and adjustments, I understand the stress of moving, finding a home, selling a home, and keeping your sanity. I also understand that real estate is more than the buying and selling of properties. It is new beginnings, forward movement of journeys, the realization of lifelong dreams, and at times investment opportunities.
