💧 Your gutters work hard. Make sure the finish line isn't sabotaging the whole race.
Every square foot of your roof collects rainwater and funnels it into your gutter system. That water is then concentrated into a downspout. If that downspout dumps water right beside your foundation, you're literally directing hundreds-sometimes thousands-of gallons of water exactly where you DON'T want it.

✅ A simple extension of 3 feet or more can dramatically reduce the risk by moving water away from your home's foundation.
Now let's talk about underground downspouts...

The moment you run a line underground, you've committed to keeping leaves, shingle grit, and debris out of that pipe. Skip the filter, and it's only a matter of time before the system clogs.
Even better, whenever possible, discharge to DAYLIGHT.

Because daylight discharge allows you to visually confirm that water is flowing properly every time it rains. If the water disappears underground and never resurfaces, you're left guessing.
And here's the truth...
