Today, we honor the Airmen who have served, sacrificed, and taken to the skies in defense of our nation.

The Air Force has deep roots right here in Colorado Springs. In 1954, after considering 580 proposed sites across 45 states, Colorado Springs was selected as the permanent home of the United States Air Force Academy. The Academy’s permanent campus welcomed its cadets in 1958 and has been an iconic part of our community ever since.

On National Air Force Day, the MacGuire Team is proud to recognize the Airmen, veterans, cadets, families, and generations of service members who have helped shape both our country and our Colorado Springs community.
