The City of Columbia City (Indiana) has an opening for a full-time firefighter.

Applicants must:
-Be at least 18 years of age at time of application and have not reached 40 by the date of appointment
-Have a high school diploma or equivalent
-Be of high moral character
-Not have been convicted of a felony
-Be certified NFPA FFI/II and a state certified 1st responder or Emergency Medical Responder

EMT Basic Certified preferred however, must become certified within 1 year of employment.

Applications and a complete job description can be obtained at the Clerk-Treasurer's office between 7:30AM-4:00PM, Monday-Friday or at the Communications office, open 24 hours. Both are located at City Hall, 112 S Chauncey St, Columbia City, IN 46725. The application can also be found online at http://columbiacity.net/community/career-opportunities/ Applications with a copy of a driver's license attached will be accepted until 3:00PM on Friday, December 8, 2023. Applications must be completed in their entirety to be considered.
