The Boone County Collector of Revenue is currently accepting applications for the **Boone County Senior Real Estate Tax Relief Program**. If you qualify, make sure to get your application submitted soon!

📅 **Deadline:** Tuesday, June 30, 2026, by 5:00 PM

**Who is Eligible?**
You must be a Boone County, Missouri resident who meets the following criteria:

* Is **62 years of age or older** before January 1, 2026.
* Is the **owner of record** of your primary residence (or holds a legal/equitable interest).
* Is **liable for paying real property taxes** on that homestead.

*Note: If you were already approved for the program in 2024 or 2025, your renewal is now **automatic** as long as you remain eligible. This application period is for new participants or those establishing 2026 as their base year.*

**How to Apply:**

**Online:** Visit the main [Boone County Government Website](https://www.boonemo.gov/) and click the *Boone County Senior Real Estate Tax Relief Program* link at the top of the page.
* **In-Person:** Pick up an application on the first floor of the Boone County Government Center (801 E. Walnut, Columbia).

**Notary Requirement:**
All new applications must be signed in front of a notary public. Public Notaries are available from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, on the first floor of the Government Center. You can also find notary services at most local banks, credit unions, and libraries.

**How to Submit:**
Deliver your completed, notarized application with required supporting documents to the Collector's Office (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mon–Fri) or mail it to:
