Cameron Smith Vogt - Realtor Real Estate, Design, and the Inside Scoop! Five quick facts:

1. My husband and I now have our own mini-farm in Ridgeway. Three horses. Two dogs. Three cats. And do!

I'm a horse girl -- I grew up on a horse farm in Hopkins and am still very connected to the life of Lower Richland County. We kind of love it up here in Fairfield County. Fish in the pond. Life is good. Because I'm a horse girl, I understand the specifics of someone who is looking to buy or sell a property with room to roam. Whether it's a house with a few acres or a large raw piece of land, I hav

e the extra knowledge that goes along with life and land. Heck, I know how to drive a tractor! But, I was a city girl -- I've lived in Manhattan, Los Angeles, and Charleston. And when we travel, I do seem to gravitate to the hectic -- although, now, I confess to being pretty content in the country. This diversity is just another thing that makes me comfortable around all sorts of folks -- and able to strike up a conversation with just about anybody.

2. I believe in giving back. I was raised in a Christian family and taught early on the importance of not only doing the right thing, but being the right kind of person. Years ago, I joined the Docent Corps at the Columbia Museum of Art -- it's great fun to share our city's amazing collection with visitors young and old. Additionally, I donate a portion of my earnings to organizations near and dear to my heart -- a few of them are Healing Species, Candyman Homeless Ministries, Camp Cole, First Steps, SC ETV, and The Fairfield County Animal Shelter.

3. I also am an interior designer and a former antiques and art dealer. This dovetails nicely with real estate. I can help you not only find a home that fits your lifestyle, but I can also help you complete that vision with the right paint colors, finishes, and furnishings. Or, if you are selling, I have not only the ability to stage your home, but many items from my warehouse that we can use!

4. I don't drive a fancy car. Been there, done that. After way too many speeding tickets in cute little German cars, I prefer my horse power to come on four legs.

5. I cut to the chase. I am really good at what I do. In fact, I've had my Real Estate License since the mid-1980's - but there were too many other careers on my bucket list. Back then, I wanted to decorate vacant houses to help them sell faster. Other agents gave me funny looks - now, that's called staging!!! There's great satisfaction in finding the right house for my buyers and getting top dollar for my sellers. As we enter this era of a new normal, people are realizing just how important home is. There truly is no place like it. Five fun facts. I look forward to meeting you soon!
