This one is extra special.

Back in 2022, I had the privilege of representing both the buyers and sellers when this home sold off-market. Fast forward to today, and here we are again... closing on the very same home, with me representing both the sellers and buyers once more.

It’s not often you get to be part of a home’s story twice, and it’s even more meaningful when it’s a house filled with so many wonderful memories, located in such a special neighborhood, and connected to some truly amazing clients.

While today is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, it’s also a reminder of how meaningful “home” truly is.. the place where memories are made, traditions are carried on, and loved ones gather together.

This house owes us nothing, it gave us everything. We were the lucky ones, getting to love this home and become a small part of its long history. We brought our babies home here, and even welcomed baby Gage into the world right in the living room.
Just imagine how many families these walls have held since this home was first built in 1831… the celebrations, the hard seasons, the laughter, the love, and the generations of memories made here.
We will cherish every single moment. The walks up and down the lane, family dinners around the table, chasing farm animals through the yard, and all the ordinary days that turned out to be the most meaningful ones.

Phew. What a week!! Numerous listing appointments. Countless showings. Four properties under contract. A handful of closings. And so much gratitude.

I should probably make a separate post for every single one of these families because I truly hold each of them close to my heart. But real estate has me running hard right now, so here’s a little snapshot of what made this week so special:

• The last of my Sugar Grove land listings is officially under contract. Bittersweet does not even begin to describe it. I have sold over 400 acres for these sellers over the last two years, and I will miss our regular Zoom calls.
• An adorable couple secured a home after we toured nearly 20 houses. I truly believe they landed on the perfect one for them.
• A family making a huge move is selling a home they poured so much love into. John and I helped them purchase it 12 years ago, watched their family grow there, and saw them transform it into one of the most beautiful homes in Columbia. While I am sad to see them leave our community, I am so excited for their next adventure.
• The last golf course lot in Old Hawthorne went pending in less than a week.
• The kindest family both sold and purchased with me, finding a home that fits their growing needs just a little bit better. They were on top of every detail every step of the way, and I am so grateful they chose me as their realtor.
• One incredible buyer closed on a home we won in multiple offers, competing against six other buyers. Persistence pays off.
