Fee increases in 2022...

Because of the revised primacy fee structure from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, City of Columbia Water & Light water utility customers will see an increase in their monthly bills in 2022.

The primacy fee is reflected in your monthly bill as State Regulatory Fee - Water.

The primacy fee, which was signed into Missouri law in July 1992, is a user fee paid by customers of the state's public water supply systems. The annual fee supports the MDNR's efforts to ensure Missourians are provided safe drinking water. The restructured fees, which go into effect Jan. 1, are based on the size of the customer's connection.

City of Columbia Utilities forwards the fees to the Missouri Department of Revenue to fund the Missouri Public Drinking Water Program.

The City of Columbia is excited to announce the new MyCOMO app to connect residents with a comprehensive array of City information.

MyCOMO provides information on topics such as city government, upcoming events, utility services, outage maps and directories, and other City of Columbia information. Users can receive notifications on specific events, such as changes in trash collection and upcoming City Council meetings, chat with a customer service representative during business hours and report issues.
