Due to a transaction between Katy Perry and an older gentleman who entered into a contract of sale and later wanted to void the contract, there is a new housing law which will be implemented in some states called the PERRY Act - Protecting Elder Realty for Retirement Years.

The Act establishes a 72 hour cool-down period during which either party involved in a contract for conveyance of a personal residence, in which one party is over the age of 75, can rescind the agreement without penalty.”

So I have a few real estate pet peeves. This is definitely one of them. Condo associations that require the lockboxes to be placed in the trash area. First of all it stinks. And I know one day I am going to go in there and a rodent is going to be waiting for me! 🤣
At least this agent was a good one so I knew exactly which lockbox it was. Cuts down on the time I have to spend in there when I don't have to figure out which lockbox it is.....another pet peeve.
