Hello all of you home and land owners~
The tri-annual tax reassessment is upon us yet again. I would like to make everyone aware that you do have the right to challenge the counties value of your home. But they have very specific timeline which you can challenge. Must be between January 1st and March 31st. I have been a real estate professional for 18 years and have helped dozens of families challenge the assessed value. I have gone in front of the counties three person panel to plead the case for many past clients (and family of course!) We have had good success in most cases and gotten the values lowered. A few times they also refused logic and facts and did not lower the tax value. There are specific "challenge" forms which I can help you fill out and also supply you with recent comps for your home to defend your claim.
