NEW CONSTRUCTION DOESN’T MEAN PERFECT CONSTRUCTION. 🏡🔍

Yesterday my out-of-state buyers had their home inspection completed on their brand-new home in Opelika, and this is exactly why I will ALWAYS recommend an independent inspection — even on new construction.

The inspection uncovered significant damage to a roof rafter that needs to be evaluated for structural repair, along with several electrical safety concerns, including improperly installed wiring, issues within the electrical panels, and an exterior GFCI that tripped but wouldn’t reset.

These aren’t just cosmetic punch-list items — they’re things my buyers can now have addressed before they close and move into their new home.

A huge thank you to Ben York with Pillar To Post Home Inspections for being extra thorough and finding the things that could cost my clients time and money down the road. 👏

And new construction buyers — don’t forget your 11-month inspection! If your builder provides a 12-month warranty, that inspection gives you another opportunity to identify issues that may have developed during your first year before the warranty expires.

Perfect day for a home inspection! ☀️🏡

My out-of-state buyers are one step closer to HOME here in Alabama! Today we’re getting their beautiful new construction home inspected in the new Firefly subdivision in Opelika, AL. 🤍

Even with a brand-new home, an independent home inspection is always a step I recommend. New construction doesn’t automatically mean perfect, and I want my buyers to have another set of eyes on their home before closing day.

Helping clients relocate from out of state means being their boots on the ground when they can’t be here for every step—and making sure nothing gets overlooked along the way.

This time last year, I had the incredible honor of standing on the field and singing God Bless America before the clingstones baseball game. 🇺🇸🎤

This year looks a little different.

Instead of standing behind a microphone, I’m behind the wheel showing homes, preparing listings, writing offers, negotiating contracts, and helping families navigate one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

And honestly… I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Every set of keys I hand over is a reminder that this country gives us the opportunity to dream, build, serve, and create a place to call home.

Living in a military community makes that even more meaningful. Every day I have the privilege of serving the men and women who sacrifice so much for our freedoms—and helping their families find a place to put down roots while they’re here.

Most importantly, I’m thankful to live in a country where I can openly love Jesus, serve others with integrity, and use the gifts He’s given me.
