We were too young to fully remember September 11, 2001.

But we grew up hearing the stories of those who do— where they were, who they were with, what they felt as they watched the day unfold, and how different the days that followed felt.

Through those memories, we’ve come to understand the weight of this day.

What has always stood out to us is not only the tragedy and the lives that were lost, but the incredible bravery shown by first responders, service members, and ordinary Americans — and the strength and unity our country showed in the face of unimaginable loss.

Today, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and those who ran toward danger to help others.

May we continue to share their stories with generations who weren’t there to witness them.

May we never forget. 🇺🇸

A new job. A growing family. More space. Or simply wanting to be closer to the people who matter most.

For us, it was the people in this picture.

Around the time this photo was taken, we had recently bought our first home and benefited from the great interest rates of 2021. A couple of years later, we decided to move closer to family — even though it meant giving up that great rate.

On paper, staying put would have been easy to justify. But moving made sense for our life.

And that’s the thing about real estate: the market usually isn’t why people move. It’s simply what we navigate when life gives us a reason to move.

There’s no perfect market. There’s just the market we’re in — and figuring out how to make it work for where life is taking you.
