Elton John is a music legend. His song, “Tiny Dancer” has been one of my all time favorites since I can remember and luckily enough, I had the honor of witnessing it the other week in what is likely going to be one of his last concerts ever.

Almost a year ago, a group of us planned this weekend getaway. Planning that far out in advance made me a bit nervous that plans might change, or something might come up and we’d have to back out… but, our Nashville weekend went off without a hitch and we made some of the best memories!

Life is too short to not take the time and experience these special moments. Yes, planning it was a hassle at the time, and parts were stressful, but it’s a weekend none of us will forget!

Yesterday someone told me they weren’t buying a home because interest rates were too high. Last year someone said they weren’t buying a home because prices were too high.

Spoiler alert: Interest rates will continue to fluctuate & home prices may come down a bit but mostly stabilize.

It’s basic supply & demand, it's not 2008.

And the reality is that while you’re waiting for one of those things to be “just right,” you’re only increasing your chance of missing out on the right house here in the Golden Triangle area.

My best advice is to find the right house.

Buy the house you like in the area you want to live in. Find your dream home & refinance later. Or ask for seller concessions to buy down your rate. Or ask your lender about an adjustable rate mortgage.

Find your dream home & focus on how quickly you can create memories in it, not how quickly it can appreciate as an asset. Historically over time it absolutely will.

But that’s not the point.

Unlike most restaurants, Cafe on Main changes their menu daily so when you go in, it's not going to be the exact same options everytime. The other day, Krystal and I stopped in for lunch and it reminded us of "Grandma's cooking" - homemade, hearty, and delicious. The fried chicken and mashed potates that I ordered tasted just like authentic homecooking (as they should since everything is from scratch), and Krystal gave her meal a 10/10 as well.

Besides lunch, they also offer togo casseroles, desserts, and anything else you could need if you want to skip cooking a meal one day. Both of us would agree, if you haven't supported this local business in a while, swing in and order some lunch. Or, pick up a meal to go - everything is delish!
