⁉️APPRAISAL GAP⁉️

I met with a buyer yesterday whose good friend asked me about “appraisal gaps.” Both ladies had owned numerous homes before and prior to getting into this market - they had never heard of this before.

🏡 With housing inventory being low, it’s no shock that buyers are offering well over asking price to purchase a home. But what happens when their purchase price is higher than the appraisal? The appraisal gap comes into play.

💲The appraisal gap is the amount of money a buyer (using a lender) is willing to pay in cash for the difference in purchase price and appraisal.
