Did you know I was on the OSU dance team? Yep, I was. And my husband, Kenny, competed in track and field.

That was about the time Central Ohio first started to feel like home for me, and I never really looked back.

I grew up in a very small town in Ohio, what we call “the valley,” and what I found in Northwest Columbus was something similar. 

Places like Hilliard, Dublin, and Powell have that sense of community and those small-town touches, with the convenience of a larger city.

Now, as Kenny and I raise our children here, I love that they get a little bit of both. Our days are filled with sports schedules, dance nights, the life of a dual-entrepreneur household, and all the everyday moments in between.

And I think that’s a big part of how I see real estate.... It’s never just about the house.

It’s about how your life actually unfolds around it: the routines, the people, the pace of your day-to-day. That’s the part I really care about helping people figure out.

My clients trusted my advice and received an offer in less than a week, while other homes listed in the neighborhood were struggling to sell. ✨

A lot of the advice sellers hear this time of year tends to follow the same pattern: declutter, update, refresh.

While those steps can be helpful, they’re not always what drives the strongest outcome. What I focus on with clients is a bit different:

✅ Positioning and pricing the home correctly from day one
✅ Understanding that the first few days on the market carry the most attention
✅ Prioritizing preparation over unnecessary renovation
✅ Building a clear strategy before going live

In many cases, thoughtful planning and ex*****on have a greater impact than large-scale updates. One thing I often share is this: the goal isn’t to do everything. It’s to do the right things at the right time.

Grateful for the past month, my clients, and this community. 🤍

One snapshot that sums it up 🗓️ April 9

A full day that looked something like:

😊 started the morning with my family
☕️ had a coffee meeting
📈 preparing comps and gathered data for a client I helped several years ago buy a home for their growing family who are getting ready to list thier home and move on to their next chapter
✈️ picked up a client from the airport who is relocating to Northwest Columbus
📱 scheduled showings in Dublin, Powell, and Hilliard for the weekend

…and a lot more in between that doesn’t always make it into photos.

🌷 Spring in Central Ohio always brings a shift. More flowers, more movement, more conversations about lifestyles, and more people starting to think about what’s next.

Most people see the showings, the “we’re in contract” text, & the closing photo.

But the part you don’t usually see:
✨Coordinating inspectors, lenders, title, contractors…making sure everyone is on the same page.
✨Following up when something feels even slightly off…trust me, I feel everything
✨Thinking through scenarios before they happen so my clients aren’t caught off guard...because I truly care.

A lot of it looks like me sitting at a laptop with coffee…in my car during dance practice…
or late at night at my kitchen table
(and let’s be real, not always put together like this 😉)

But no matter where I am,
This is where I’m advocating.
This is where I’m protecting.
This is where I’m making sure everything actually comes together the way it should, at least everything within our control.

It’s not flashy…but it matters.
And it’s how I earn the trust that I do. 🤍

One of the things I enjoy most about my work is helping people relocate to the Columbus, Ohio area.

What often surprises newcomers is how different each suburb feels, even if they're just minutes apart.

Dublin, Hilliard, Powell, and other Northwest Columbus areas offer something unique.

As someone who moved here to attend Ohio State in the early 2000s and chose to build my life here afterward, it’s always rewarding to help others call Columbus home.

Many professionals move here for opportunities with Ohio State, healthcare systems, technology companies, and growing businesses across the region.

Not every real estate move is about getting more space.

Sometimes the goal is simplifying.

I've been having more conversations lately with homeowners who are starting to think about downsizing while still staying close to the communities they love.

That might mean moving closer to family, reducing maintenance, more amenities but less space, or simply finding a home that fits the next season of life.

Those conversations are some of the most thoughtful ones I have with clients.

Quick reality check: Most people think they have plenty of time to tour a house once a it hits the market. That’s not always the case, especially in my area.

In Dublin, Hilliard, and Powell, it’s common for homes to receive multiple offers within the first day or two, or even before it's listed, but that is for another post.

That doesn't mean buyers should feel rushed. It simply means preparation matters.

Understanding your budget, knowing your priorities, and having a clear plan before you start touring homes can make the entire process feel much more manageable.

Many first-time home buyers start in the wrong place.

They begin by touring houses or finding a mismatch online. The process becomes much more manageable when it starts with a conversation about timing, finances, lifestyle preferences and long-term goals. These conversations are my specialty, and help buyers understand what is realistic before emotions get involved.

One of my recent clients started the conversation with me two years before buying her perfect home. With her personal timeline at the heart of it all, we had regular check-ins, and I provided market updates.
