Mac and Cheese Festival!

Friday, Sept. 25 | 4–7:30 p.m. | Easton Town Center

Come hungry for one of Columbus’ cheesiest traditions. The Columbus Mac & Cheese Festival brings together mac and cheese-inspired creations from local restaurants, plus live entertainment and plenty of opportunities to sample your way around Easton. Proceeds from the festival benefit the Adolescent and Young Adult cancer program at The James.

🍂 What are you most looking forward to this month in Columbus?
September has a little bit of everything. Buckeye football is back, Oktoberfest season is here, fall festivals are kicking off, and there are plenty of concerts, sporting events, and outdoor adventures filling the calendar. It's one of those months when it feels like there's something happening every weekend.
Personally, I think September is one of the best times to be in Central Ohio. The weather starts to cool down, fall traditions return, and the community calendar is packed with things to see and do. 🍁

On Aug. 31, 1920, John Lloyd Wright received a patent for “toy-cabin construction,” the interlocking wooden pieces that became Lincoln Logs.

The son of architect Frank Lloyd Wright said the idea grew from watching work on his father’s earthquake-resistant Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. Wright had begun selling the toy in 1918, letting children build sturdy cabins, forts and other structures from notched logs that locked together. Early sets included directions for Abraham Lincoln’s cabin.

The simple design changed little over the decades, outlasted generations of competing toys and eventually earned a place in the National Toy Hall of Fame in 1999.
