Did you know Neil Avenue was named after the man who owned this land?
1214 Neil Avenue was built in 1880 in what is now Victorian Village — on land that was once part of William “Billy” Neil’s massive tract of farmland. His land stretched from High Street to the Olentangy River and from First Avenue north to Lane Avenue. The road Neil built as an access point to his farm eventually became Neil Avenue. That same land would later become part of The Ohio State University.
Nearly 150 years later, we’re taking this historic home and giving it a new life!
The history stays. The next chapter starts now.
