As temperatures drop below freezing, we are providing some guidance on caring for your new lawn and sprinkler system.
The goal with the sod is to keep it moist until the temperatures are consistently below freezing overnight (32 degrees) and the ground stays frozen during the day.
This time of year, the sod will stay damp longer, so take that into consideration. When you water during the day, you must drain your sprinkler system at night if the temperature is going to drop below freezing overnight.

This scholarship is in remembrance of Tyler Prososki, to inspire and honor his memory and legacy. Tyler was passionate about agriculture, he especially enjoyed working with cattle and crops on the family farm. Tyler was active in FFA, serving as an officer and earning his state degree. Tyler believed in hard work. Tyler always had a way of brightening up the room, leaving an imprint on the hearts of everyone he met.
