Please remember these helpful snow/winter tips as our weather is very unpredictable:
• If applicable, always try to move your car out of open parking when we are plowing. This allows the snow removal team to remove snow as completely as possible. Cars not moved from open parking areas will hinder our ability to clear snow and ice from our parking lot.
• Keep “Icemelt” and a shovel in your home. We do not clear snow or ice from individual porches.
• Do not park with your car bumper over the sidewalk. This makes it difficult for our team to effectively use our snow removal equipment.
• USE CAUTION when you are travelling from your apartment through our parking areas and walkways. Wear appropriate winter weather clothing and footwear. Remember, these areas may be slippery, especially at night and in the early morning.
• When freezing is expected, to avoid frozen pipes that could burst –
o be sure to keep your temperature at no lower than 60 degrees
o let water drip from the faucets with cabinet doors open under the sinks – this is especially important for those homes that have pipes on exposed exterior walls.
