There are many ways to be supportive of survivors and victims of intimate partner violence. Some of these don’t involve a payment. Here are 5 ways that you can be the person that someone needs.

If you’re able to donate and want to learn more about our domestic violence resources, use the link http://salvationarmygeorgia.org/.
If it’s an urgent case, please dial the Domestic Violence Hotline 1.800.799.SAFE(7223).

Psalm 46 says that God is our refuge. He is our strength and help in trouble. As a church, The Salvation Army is dedicated to providing not only a place to worship the Lord, but also a place for people to find refuge. A safe space away from the troubles and brokenness that may be happening at home.

Mental and spiritual health issues often have real physical needs. This Mental Health Awareness Day, while we may offer counseling or pastoral care, we also know it’s hard to focus on inner healing if those physical needs aren’t met.

William Booth’s “Soup, Soap, and Salvation” was a way to meet those physical, mental, and spiritual needs that The Salvation Army’s mission is based upon.
