These precious people are the in laws of a friend of mine and I now have the honor of working with her mother to sell her home. In doing so, I realized I'd never posted anything about this sale. I'm not the strongest social media "poster", so I'm now playing catch up. We spent weeks sprucing up this rental home in preparation of placing on the market. Once listed, multiple offers came in at asking and it was under contract in 5 days. It was a joy working with and spending time with the Richardsons that they too have become friends.
I do rely on family and friend referrals more than anything and that is absolutely where the bulk of my business comes from. I can & have worked with first time home buyers, families, etc, but have fallen into the specialty of working with the "sandwich generation" or other family members who have to sell their elderly parents or siblings home and "all the single ladies" looking to purchase their own home, most of whom have become friends. Agents and Brokers violate Alabama license law often. When hiring an agent make sure they are a Realtor, which holds us to a higher Code of Ethics standard. Having worked at TSYS for 20 years, I recall a well told story of a contract that literally was written on a napkin in a restaurant. The same holds true for real estate contracts - if it's written on a napkin, piece of paper, etc and presented to me, I MUST present it to my seller.

Not presenting all offers is a violation of Alabama license law and the REALTOR® Code of Ethics.
