🚨 Check your sump pumps, folks! 🚨

We were called out today for a basement flooding issue—about 2 inches of water backed up into an unfinished space. Turns out the old sump pump was 18 years old, rusted, and jammed, so it didn’t kick on during all the heavy rain we’ve had. ☔️

Bishop Builds jumped in to help with cleanup and swapping out the old pump for a shiny new one, along with a fresh check valve. 🛠️

to one of our favorite transformations!

Just over two years ago, we replaced an outdated fold-down attic ladder with this custom modular stair kit, completely transforming the space. After finishing up with some minor electrical work, drywall, flooring, and trim, the attic was turned into a functional art studio for the client.

Is Throwback Thursday still a thing?

Throwback to just over a year ago when this massive tree fell in a windstorm and hit the back of a home I had listed - just 2 weeks before closing! Major damage, but thankfully the seller had great insurance, and we pulled together to get everything fixed up (even though it was not exactly quick 😅). I had equally great buyers who loved the house and were patient to take possession of their new home with a new roof!

Just installed this yesterday! As part of a larger project, our clients requested a rock climbing wall for their kids. Made of 3/4" birch plywood and maple 1x2 edges, these 4' X 2' panels can easily be removed, and each provides 18 possible climbing hold spots for various routes and challenges. Safe to say the kids love it! Of course, BishopBuilds had to try it out first 😅

Basement finishing project that BishopBuilds finished up in January! Swipe to see the framing stages and the before pics. All framing, insulation, drywall, and trim work was done by BishopBuilds. The client handled their own electrical, finish wall paint, and carpet installation. The water heater was moved under the stairs and closeted in with the furnace, and a crawl space was turned into the perfect kids space.

Bishop Builds had the amazing opportunity to help create local artist Robert "Bob" Tavini's stunning art piece, Rivers. 🌊 ✨ This mixed-media masterpiece was crafted using books from the Columbus Metropolitan Library and was proudly displayed at Carnegie Gallery.

We're honored to have contributed to this creative project and helped bring Bob's vision to life with a custom shelf!

The old tile floors in this kitchen, laid by flippers, remind us of the importance of proper installation. While they used cement over the subfloor, it wasn't secured properly, leading to cracks and eventual failure. We ensure our renovations stand the rest of time with attention to detail and quality workmanship. 💪🔨
