Construction Project Manager Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and oversee a wide variety of construction projects (new-construction and remodels, mostly residential) from beginning to end.
The Construction Project Manager we are looking for will have previous experience in construction management projects and be knowledgeable of regulations and required permits.
The ideal applicant will be highly organized, be able to multitask with ease, have the ability to plan ahead and meet deadlines, and possess excellent communication skills.
Construction Project Manager Job Responsibilities Include
• Oversee construction projects from beginning to end
• Obtain the appropriate building permits
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
• Outline and maintain a tight, multi-trade schedule
• Ensure that all deadlines are met
• Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed
• Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule
• Collaborate with subcontractors and direct employees
• Keep client informed of job schedule on a weekly basis
• Resolve any problems that may arise
• Ensure that the project stays on budget
• Conduct frequent site checks to monitor progress and quality
Construction Project Manager Job Requirements
• Excellent knowledge of construction practices, methods, materials, and equipment
• Previous work experience in construction management or another similar role
• Highly organized
• Previous experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skills
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel
• Ability multitask and plan ahead
• Excellent time management skills
• Conflict resolution and conflict management experience
• Excellent communication skills, including spelling and grammar, and negotiation skills
