My brother Emerson and his girlfriend Maddie bought a house yesterday!! So proud of them and so excited for this next chapter 🤍

It definitely was not the easiest ride. They lost a few houses before we could secure this cute one, but we got it done. Even better, we were able to get it off market, so no bidding wars and way less stress. A win all around!!

March was a good one 🤍
Birthday celebrations for both of us, fun nights around town, new restaurants, a Blue Jackets game, Dancing with the Stars, and lots of work in between with office days, inspections, and continuing education. Such a fun month. Ready for warmer weather now!

Did you know that many buyers who close in May may not have their first mortgage payment due until July 1? 🏡

Here’s why:

Mortgage payments are usually paid in arrears, which means you’re paying for the month that already passed. At closing, you also typically pay prepaid interest for the remaining days in that month. So if you close in May, that interest is often handled at closing, June goes by, and your first full mortgage payment is usually due July 1.

It can be a nice little breathing room while you’re moving, buying furniture, and getting settled.

Just remember, the exact date depends on your closing date and loan terms, so always check with your lender!
