Whether you Rent or Own, here's some tips to deal with the cold !!
1) Use a humidifier or vaporizer! Adding moisture into the air will absolutely help the warmth in your home! (Think dried up scrub sponge on your kitchen sink compared to a moist sponge... That's your house!)
2) Vent your clothes dryer into a 5 gallon bucket that is half full of water! Not only will you get the heat from the dryer, but you will get added humidity from the clothes drying and the bucket.
3) Turn off your shower vent fan when you shower, leave the door open, and let the steam enter your home!
4) Change your furnace filter !! Seriously... when is the last time you changed your furnace filter? 🤦♂️ .. a clogged filter prevents hot air from blowing into your home. Change it EVERY 30 DAYS !!
5) Feel around your windows and doors... if you feel a cold breeze, put plastic over your windows and at night, put a towel at the base of your doors.
6) Put a oil filled radiator space heater in the room you spend most time in and put a fan behind it to circulate air thru it.
7) Hire me to sell that money pit of a house and move to Southern Florida !!
