ANOTHER HOME SOLD!

Due to the pandemic, buyer choices are limited going into this season because more sellers are removing listings. If you’ve been thinking about listing your house, it’s a great time to do so. Many others in your neighborhood may be waiting to make a move or removing their listings, so staying on the market – or jumping into it – could work to your advantage.

Buyers today are serious ones, and with prices holding steady in this low-inventory market, you can feel confident about selling today. Some great news in real estate for you! Since the “stay home” order was put in place, there have been 3,400 new listings entered in the MLS (Multiple Listing Service of LI) with 86 of those already in contract!

Additionally, 2,731 became Pending after March 22, 2020, to which 1,009 of those were on listings taken after March 1st.

Even during the COVID-19 crisis, real estate transactions are moving forward. Many of the new processes that must now be followed have turned out to be very beneficial, even more favorable, to sellers. Here are some examples of the precautions I am taking for my sellers:

-My marketing team creates virtual tours of your home. This allows potential buyers to access your home anytime without you ever having to leave your residence.

-No more "looky loos". I only allow buyers in on a case-by-case basis. And when I do bring a buyer to your home, I come prepared with sanitizer, booties and gloves for them to use during the showing.

-If the lender allows it, appraisals can be done by driving by your home, or viewing photos of the property, so the appraiser never has to set foot in your home.

-Remote home closings are now becoming an option for buyers and sellers to encourage social distancing.
