Hello? Is this thing on?
Hi Everyone,
It's been a while since I've posted on here. Although I've been absent from posting for quite some time, it's because I've been perfecting my craft and I thought now would be a great time to provide an update. It's been a long journey, but the road has been well worth it.
Prior to becoming a Redfin Lead Agent, I bounced around from brokerage to brokerage attempting to find the right fit for me as a new agent. I was new, inexperienced, and had no clients, but I knew I was capable of success, if given the right opportunity.
In 2018, I interviewed with Redfin, a tech brokerage that is a disrupter to the real estate market with it's unique approach to doing real estate. Redfin. What a funny name? I thought. Coupled with some of the misconceptions about the company that I had heard through the grapevine from other agents, I thought I was wasting my time. Boy, was I wrong.
The mission was simple, "Redefine real estate in the consumer’s favor". Finally, I had found a company with values that aligned with mine, which emphasized the use of data and technology to educate customers to make informed decisions on one of the most important purchases of their lives.
In my first year as a transaction coordinator with Redfin, I had helped agents with over 80 transactions. I was able to gain a vast amount of transactional experience in such a short amount of time, that I felt confident applying for an opening as a Lead Agent in January 2020.
Then COVID happened.
After a brief hiatus from Redfin after a furlough, I returned in July 2020 to finish what I started. I hit the ground running.
"Luck Is What Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity"
In 2021, I was able to close 17 transactions ($14.8M in Sales Volume), after only having closed 1 deal before joining Redfin.
Today, I'm happy to share that I am now a Senior Agent with Redfin.
