When you lose the love of your life, there are many firsts to get through. I've got a big one coming up. On May 8th Matt would have turned 59. As fate would have it, I’ll be walking in the Payson Cancer Center Rock’N Race on that day and since there is not walkathon for “middle aged men who look healthy enough but really are not” this will have to do. I'll be with many friends from Keller Williams Metropolitan Concord walking in the Rock'N Race. Last year we walked it together, the theme was the 80's. This year we planned to walk it again and the theme is HEROES. I'm certain that Matt would have dressed as Iron Man so I'm going to dress as Matt - jeans, boots, a warm sweater, his Carhart jacket and his nasty old Patriots baseball cap. If you would be inclined, it would be awesome to have you donate to this cause in memory of matt. Have you ever had a moment in your life where everything completely stood still! That happened to me on 2/27/1994. I told Him I was old (30 omg!!) and I told him I had a 3 year old boy who was the love of my life, and I told him that I was self employed an struggling to make finances work. Th best thing is, he took a step back to think about all that and then said ok ! Wtf. Let’s do it. Then he reached through my car window in the kings pArking lot and kissed me. Time stood still and the world went upside down. Here we Are 30 years later. He took a chance on me and here we are. It was a risk, it was a gamble. Then I had to pass the Peter Crouch and Lysa Rbc fork under the table test (I’m here so there’s enough about THAt!). It was yesterday!! Yet here we are with so much history. I always thought that my grandparents live story was the best / but truly I’m loving this one even more.
