Do you need a job? Workforce Solutions will be helping job hunters at a May 8 hiring event at the George Memorial Library.
Workforce Solutions-Gulf Coast has announced that its Business & Financial Professions Hiring Event will take place on May 8 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm in George Memorial Library’s Bohachevsky Gallery. George Memorial is located at 1001 Golfview Drive in Richmond.
Applicants at this hiring event can network with potential employers, meet community partners, and explore the available industry positions. Since the event facilitates face-to-face interaction with employers, applicants are also encouraged to bring extra copies of their resume and arrive in professional attire.
Workforce Solutions-Gulf Coast, which has 24 career offices throughout its 13-county region, has three career offices in Fort Bend County — in Rosenberg, at 28000 SW Freeway, Suite D, in Missouri City, at 3823 Cartwright Rd., and in Katy, at 24025 Katy Freeway, Suite D.
In addition to its routine job fairs across the state, Workforce Solutions also holds frequent workshops that help people sharpen their skills, prepare for interviews, and refine their resumes, along with other services.
On May 6, just two days before its Business & Financial Professions Hiring Event, Workforce Solutions will be on-site at George Memorial Library, leading one of those very workshops from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm in the Audiovisual Area on the second floor.
Although registration is not required, it is recommended.
Participants in this free workshop will receive assistance with registration, resume support, and job search resources. This free workshop returns on May 20 at the same time and location.
