Water damage rarely starts with something dramatic.

More often, it’s the small things homeowners second-guess:
• a faint stain on the ceiling
• paint that keeps bubbling back
• a musty smell after rain
• warped trim or flooring
• a spot that was “fixed before” but keeps returning

One of these by itself doesn’t always mean there’s a major issue. But when problems repeatedly show up in the same area, it’s usually a sign that moisture is finding its way in somewhere.

A few things we tell homeowners to pay attention to:
✔ Does the stain seem to slowly grow over time?
✔ Does the smell come and go depending on weather or humidity?
✔ Did repainting temporarily hide the issue—but not solve it?
✔ Does the area feel damp, soft, or humid compared to the rest of the home?
