Who is a "pioneer"? A person or group who is among the first to originate or help open up a new line of thought, activity, or new method.

Did you know our Founder, Mr. Eddie R Smith , Sr. was the first African American to own a corrugated packaging manufacturing plant in the southeast? He founded E. Smith Box, Inc. in June of 1987 after working 20 years in the Corrugated Packaging industry.

Today after 35 years of business, the company continues to operate under the leadership of his eldest daughter, Jaquacer Middlebrooks , with the same core principles it was built on - superior customer service and premium quality products.

We salute our Pioneer for paving the way for other African Americans to succeed and continuing to impact the lives of others!

Awesome day today at the National MBE Manufacturers Summit 2017 put on by MBDA! We were named amongst the Top Three of MBE Manufacturers for Excellence in Implementation and Best in Show for Innovation! Manufacuturers from 22 states were represented! And to top it off we made great connects as well!
