A lowball offer can sting a little, especially when you’ve poured time, money, and memories into your home.
But here’s something many sellers don’t realize: a lowball offer isn’t always an insult—sometimes it’s simply the start of a negotiation.
I’d rather have a buyer willing to make an offer than one who never submits one at all. The first offer is rarely the final offer, and some of the best deals start with a number nobody likes.
The key is not to get emotional. Evaluate the offer, understand the buyer’s position, and decide whether a counteroffer makes sense.
Real estate is a conversation, not a one-shot game.
