Not “how” I got into RE, but “why” I’m here in RE…

My “why” is deeply personal, and it’s something that was shaped over time—not just by one moment, but by a season in my family’s life that I’ve never forgotten.

Exactly 30 years ago, my family sold our 84-acre, five-generation farm in New York and stepped into a new chapter in Tennessee. What should have been a fresh beginning carried both hope and hardship. I watched decisions being made that involved trust, faith, and the belief that people would do what they said they would do.

As a child, I didn’t have the language for it yet, but I could feel it—how much weight is carried in life-changing decisions, and how deeply it affects a family when things don’t unfold the way they were promised. It left an imprint on me that time never erased.

But looking back now, I also see something greater woven through it all. Even in the uncertainty, even in the disappointment, I believe God was still present. I believe He uses every experience—especially the difficult ones—to shape us, strengthen us, and prepare us for purpose we don’t always understand in the moment.

Years later, that understanding led me here.

I didn’t become a real estate agent just to sell homes. I became one because I understand what’s at stake when someone places their trust in you. I understand the responsibility that comes with being part of one of the most important decisions a person or family will ever make.

My purpose is to serve people well—with honesty, integrity, compassion, and a steady presence they can rely on when things feel overwhelming. I want my clients to feel seen, heard, and protected—not rushed or pressured, but truly guided through each step.

Because I believe real estate is more than a transaction—it’s a turning point in someone’s life story.

And at the center of it all, I believe God takes even the hardest seasons and uses them to build purpose, direction, and calling in our lives today.

That is my “why.”
