It’s produce time at the Kangaroo, aka Circle K, at Spring and Old Kentucky Rd in Cookeville.

John, from Monterey, is back again this year with corn Honey Select and another sweet variety, watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers. Picked fresh each day. John arrives at 11 a.m. and stays till he sells out, M-F. If it is too rainy to get in the fields and harvest, he may not be there that day. He is now bringing two trucks a day because business is so good. He does not use pesticides.
