When my Minnesota client, who was a referral from Marcia Carter, a former client, walked in this house, she knew it was HER house! When I called Glinda Brown, the listing agent, to give her a head-up that I would be writing a contract for it, she informed me that she had gotten a contract about 15 minutes earlier. I was on my way to Spring Hill, took my laptop, hooked it up to my hotspot, and furiously wrote the offer on the way there as my husband drove. I finished it around 10:00 PM, sent it to my client to have her sign it electronically, and sent it to the listing agent. At around 8:00 AM, I got a message that the seller had accepted the other offer. My client was disappointed, but she was wiling to look at another house, but it just wasn't the house she loved. Kudos to Glinda Brown for texting me when the house came back on the market giving my client another opportunity to get this house she loves! It is now under contract, and I so appreciate the integrity shown by Glinda Brown! This was like Miracle on 34th Street where Susan says, "Stop the Car!" She KNEW it was her house, and it makes me so happy when my clients get what they want! Great location. . . although not quite close enough to walk to Char's as she wanted, but it even has a charming backyard where a hot tub will fit perfectly, no joke, in the future! The biggest compliment a client can give me is to refer a friend or family to me. Thanks, again, Marcia Carter, who was also a referral to me from Daniell Carter. This house will soon belong to Becky and Debra Culver! It is just a short walk away from Becky's mom's house and in a great location! This house has a basement with French doors to allow lots of sunshine in while Debra is working from home. It makes me so proud to be a part of the graduation from TTU with a Master's Degree present for Becky and Debra! This is just one reason why I love my job so much! This 29 acre mini-farm with majestic mountain views owned by Julia Culver is now under contract thanks to the help of Charity Norrod. When Becky Culver, Julia's daughter and my former student, first called me about buying a house, she was living in Albany, KY. One of my dearest friends, Shirley Williams, lived in Albany most of her life, and I spent a lot of time there going to Dale Hollow Lake with them, so I knew just the person to refer her to. . . Barbara McWhorter. She is licensed in KY, and I'm not. Fast forward to a few months ago when Becky called me to go look at a house near Eastlake. That didn't work for them, so we kept looking. Julia wanted to help them get established, so she had some land she was leasing in Livingston and asked me to list it for her. I did, and we started looking in Cookeville for Becky and Debra Culver. They found a house not far from her mother on the same street! How often does that happen? Thanks to Missy Herd Selby, the listing agent, for working with me on the purchase. So, the friendship that started approximately 40 years ago when I had Julia's brother, Adam Throckmorton, in my class and continued when Julia's mother requested that Becky be in my classroom continues! What an honor it is to have my former students request my help in finding them a home! We had fun every day, and I am now working with Becky's Aunt Jill, who currently lives in AL but is wanting to move back to TN, find her a home here. What a week! Three closings, 1 new listing, and 1 under contract! Yes, the market has changed, but things are still selling. . . it may take a little longer than before, but the end result is still the same! A big thank you to Beverly and Lynn Bryant for trusting me with the sale of their gorgeous farm and house. They are "simply the best". and they gave me the only switchblade knives I own (and which I almost cut my fingers off opening!)Thank you to their daughter, Brandi Gosting and granddaughter, Gracey, for referring them to me! My former students are the gifts that keep on giving and comprise the bulk of my business! Thank you, also, Julia Culver and Becky Culver, another former student, for trusting me on the sale of their land in Great Valley! (Remember The Land Before Time? That's where the name of this property came from!) Yet another student, Michael Kaczmarek and his mother, Julie Kaczmarek, sent Jerome Kaczmarek, Michael's grandfather who is originally from Michigan, my way for the house he bought in 2020 and who is now selling and is moving closer to them in Cookeville and has a house under contract in The Villages. What a HUGE compliment it is to me to get these referrals! They are the HEART of my business, and I am forever grateful to them for their trust in me!
